This is what I have been up to lately, my new bff, Mindy, and I went to H & M on Tuesday night. I had not ever been to one and I loved it ever so much! I spent so much money but they were all good deals... she tells herself. They long johns!! I wanted them so much but I decided against them, big mistake! I liked the material because it wasn't too hot like flannel usually is, I hope when I go back that they'll be there!! I failed to get a pic too! What a night of idiocy! I couldn't help it I was too hyper trying on these cloths! I tried some weird crap on but really liked the way things there fit me! It was nice to finally find cloths that fit my body type and I enjoy wearing, and not frumpy!

Mon-Thurs we have group rotation and I teach French to the kid-lets. With the bigger kids, as a group, we made La Tour Eiffel! It wasn't easy, working together as a group is a novel concept to these kids. They often fell to infighting, but finally worked it out. Everyone participated and enjoyed it. It took two French classes to complete but they were all so proud even though they know it's leany and looks like les pooh poohs. (Not sure why Jared is choking himself)

I love going to this place with the kids! I wish they could have had stuff like this when I was younger! What's cool is I am small enough still I can play in the play place.

They shipwrecked into a creepy cave that was cursed! DUN! DUN! DUN! I like how the canon balls are perfectly sitting there although the boat crashed. Tisk Tisk.

It's kind of a silly place to put the treasure, right above the toilet. Don't pirates generally bury their booty? Maybe the tide was coming in... Also I love all of the stalactite around.

Shiver me timbers the tables were pretty cool! You could eat in or around the ship! The tables were maps which I loved the most because I can totally see younger me pretending to look at the maps then running to the play place to get my Goonies on! So much fun- for the kids.

They even have a mast! (Hoist the main sail) Who would park a ship in a cave? Must have been a woman driver or a someone told a man he couldn't do it. Either way it was pretty stupid. In the corner of the pic a little lookout from the play place. All in all this has to be the coolest pirate themed McDonald's in the world!!

Fun Friday

This is the Piñata my group and

me kinders made. I'm pretty proud of it because of all the others made by the different grades, ours turned out the best. It took 3 Fridays to make but that's ok. Only 3 days of absolute chaos! The 1st day with the tearing of the newspaper was such a mess! The kids were so out if control one decided to pee his pants just because! The next week we painted it orange and of course madness ensued. Paint everywhere! It was a nightmare. On the 3rd week I wised up and didn't let any of the kids help. I painted the eyes and my coworker painted the mouth for me. Through all the trials and tribulation we have success! This Friday is our party and the kids get to whack at it! But I won't be there for Fun Friday. I don't get to see the fruits of my labor... instead I get to go the BYU game and see the Dallas Cowboys Stadium!! Fair trade perhaps.

CAREER PATH: Discuss how this internship has helped you understand what is expected of an attorney. I have watched both attorneys work, what they have to do, how much time they spend behind the scene. In this area of practice there is little glamor, and work put in often doesn't always pay off. It's hard work but I find it's rewarding. How prepared do you feel to take on the work of an attorney? I am far from being prepared! Would you like to work in a similar position/firm? I really enjoy what I do although the phone phobia I have is rather stressful! Have you eliminated certain areas of practice, as a result of your internship? Yes. I want to do work where the firm isn't trying to screw over their clients but really wants to help them. I enjoy advocacy work and it's something I would like to continue doing after I finish up here!!

Week #6 October 10th-14th
RESEARCH TOOLS: What have you done learned about legal researching and writing through your internship? I only have to write occasionally, I don't really like it because I'm not a very good writer, but I do like that it's mainly technical writing. How is the research and writing you do in your internship the same or different from the writing you did in law school? Doesn't really apply to me. Plus Tyson does most of the writing. I do more copying, assembling and mailing. Are the research tools you are familiar with through law school available to you in your internship or have you used other tools? Again no application for me. I do have to do some research for them. Like right now I am trying to locate an expert witness and a few weeks ago I was looking at Regional Centers. I didn't know they existed but they are pretty cool, foreign business men can get visas and such if they donate lots of money to these centers. The centers put the money towards building things like housing, hotels, and community centers, or things like cancer research. Research I do for Joe stresses me out because I'm not very good, I don't always know what I'm doing or looking for, and I don't want to fail. I hate when he tells me to do things and time goes by and either it's not done or I found nothing. He knows a lot of the time there is nothing to be found but for some reason I feel like a loser.
Research for Tyson can be confusing and complicated. I shadowed him looking up immigration laws and there are so many if this bla bla bla then they qualify for this if not go here. Once you go there if they still don't qualify go here or they could apply for a waiver. It's like one of those maze puzzle books for kids but a grown up version. Tyson likes this part of law, figuring out the puzzle and what he can do for his client. He works very hard for them and really goes to the mat.

Week #5 October 3rd-7th
LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND TIME KEEPING: Expand on your Learning Plan objectives established at the outset of your internship and analyze your progress toward completion.
Uh... I didn't create any LP objectives. I guess my goal here was for the experience, to get a feel of how an attorneys office works and what type of things I would do if I furthered this work. I think I should be a little more further long in progress, I think if the firm was bigger than I would be. I like the smallness right now though. I am in a learning environment and like it that way.

What have you learned about the need to keep track of the time you spend on a project? Efficiency= effective. How do you know how much time you should spend on a project? If it's important documents that need to get out or something not only do I do these tasks 1st, I also make sure to double check everything and then Tyson checks it being he is the attorney. What have you learned about using time effectively? Time freaking flies on the job, even on the slow days, so it is important to make sure I give myself enough time to complete a task. If I have more to do then I am down to work. Sometimes when I have less to do I stretch it out or I'll do office things that have been put off because they are less important and possibly unnecessary. How do you see the attorneys in your firm balancing the demands on their time? A lot of times I don't know how they keep things straight. They don't have the best system right now, but they do what works for them. It would not work for me, which is why legal assistants are in existence. The attorney has so much going on at any given point. Tyson has a good system going for him. I want so bad to improve it in a couple ways but I think he's not a fan of change or doing things not his way.

COMMUNICATION: Consider one of you 1st assignments. What problems did you have that could have been resolved more easily had you and your supervisor better communicated? Sometimes I had no clue what I was doing and I knew some of the jargon but not all so I didn't always know what was going on or what or why I was doing a task. What would you do differently on a similar assignment? Ask questions or make sure I understand what I am doing. What have you observed in your placement about communication between attorneys? It is important for everybody here to be on the same page. I think it may be easier because of size but I can see the value in communication between them.

Week # 3 September 19th-23rd
INITIATIVE:

Describe actions you have taken in your internship that demonstrate your initiative. Have you offered to do something above and beyond your normal duties. Have you figured out a better way to do a common task? How did your supervisor respond to your effort? When I first got here the supply room was disorganized so I took it upon myself to organize it. I Jimmer'd that mess. They liked that I cleaned things up, they had been meaning to do it but had little time to do it. This morning Tyson left something on my desk and wasn't able to give me much instruction on it because he had to leave. I put the rest of the packet and got it ready to ship out which he didn't ask me to do. He was pleasantly surprised I think. We are getting to the point where he can hand me things and not have to go over every little thing. I can get a project and just go.
Given that you may only have been in this workplace a short time, can you identify things you could offer to do or suggest some ways you might do your job more efficiently? I need to be more confident with my work. I don't want to mess up anything because I feel getting it right is important so I am triple checking all of my work. It gets really annoying. I don't want to screw things up here. If I do I'm afraid Joe may think it was a waste to bring me on and that I'm not good enough to be here.

Week #2 September 12-16th
DEMOGRAPHICS AND ATTORNEY LIFE STYLE: Ration of men to women? Professionals and support staff 2:1 Clients? No friggin' clue, mostly men though. Client education levels and SES: Tyson's (cause he solely practices immigration) tend to be more less educated cause of their low SES status. Occasionally he has clients that are middle class. Joe's clients tend to be more educated and have higher SES. He deals with China clients for crying out loud. He is more mixed, but I would say middle class. What would they (Tyson and Joe) consider to be the most and least attractive aspects of their practice? They get to practice the type of law they want to. Tyson like to navigate and figure out what he can do to help each client. Like solving a puzzle with his mind. Sometimes there is nothing they can do to help a client, it sucks. Or when they lose in court. I know, for immigration, the laws need to change. Clients get screwed by the ones that don't make any sense, or by those that are unfair. Not easy to deal with.
Describe the life style of the attorneys practicing in your placement. They are laid back. Wear casual clothes unless a client is there. They love their food. Both BYU fans and graduated from BYU's J. Reuben Clark School of Law. They both spend a lot of time with their families. Joe always makes sure to take his kids to school. Which is really nice cause then the traffic he has to deal with is worse.
Are they married? yes both
Kids? Yes both.
Student Loan Debt? I'm guessing yes both.
Salary? Not going to ask.
Hours put in? 40 plus
Vacations? Tyson had one or two. One was work related and the other one he worked part of the time.
Is the placement one which involves cases or clients which emotionally trouble the attorneys? If so how do they cope? Not really, sometimes when there is nothing they can do for their clients it's sad. Every so often there are more cases with a serious nature, which is the worst. But it doesn't happen a lot.

Week #1 September 5th-9th
EMPLOYER PROFILE:
Size of firm: There are two attorneys at law in this office. Joseph McGregor- Attorney at Law, Tyson Oblad - Attorney at Law, and me, Cicily Oblad-assistant to attorneys of law.
Areas of practice: Immigration , Government Contracts, Corporate, Dental Law, Commercial Litigation, Civil Litigation and China Law
The management style: It is really laid back in here. I like it that way. But they do expect a level of professionalism, especially when a client is present or expected.
Does this style fit my personal and professional values? Yes. I like it. I'm glad it's laid back because it takes a lot of pressure off. I think it can be a bad thing at times, I will have to prove I am motivated and capable of doing assigned tasks. Not just sitting around all day. That I am here for a reason-to work and learn. Why did I select this placement? I didn't. . . It . . . selected me.

SUPERVISOR APPROVAL OF LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
We planned that I learn as I go. There is a lot to know about the laws we practice here. I can be overwhelming and they are doing a great job of going nice and slow and explaining things. We talked about my time here and my stipend and what I hope to get out of this experience.

A Room With A View

This is my office area at Joseph McGregor & Associates in Dallas. I really like working there because it is unlike any other job I have had. The closest thing I have done to this was when I worked as the student advocate as Wasatch Elementary. I had my own office there and I did a lot of filing and paperwork to. As you can see below, this is a view of my desk. Not a lot going on I know, I'm glad I don't face this way. (But what do you expect from an office ran by two dudes?) Since I have been there things have been a lot more organized. Their supply room nearly gave me an aneurysm- I felt like Rainman in there having an episode.
This is the view I get to stare at every morning/afternoon. Really not that bad. Luckily most of my staring is done at my laptop. It's really not that badly decorated, I'm sure Joe had some help from his wife or everything minus the lamp was already there when they moved in a few months ago. (Boring LAW magazines on the table)

Texas Game

The start of our road trip!!

When we left for the trip it was sunset. It was really pretty but it set before it was clear enough for a pic. It was so wide and open that sometimes I am claustrophobic (or I guess the opposite), I need my mountains.

This has nothing to do with the trip, but i just got it so I snapped a pic.

This is Round Rock, this donut place was on man vs food. They have Texas sized donuts here. they use a 5 gallon rim to cut them. They had some cool stained glass windows inside so I took a pic of them too.

Across the street was this barber shop and one of Tyson's law school buddies wanted Jorge to cut his hair. I thought it was really funny and random. Jorge wasn't there so his nephew was and had a rap sheet longer than the "Missippi."

Later that day we went to the best BBQ place in the world! It's called Louie Mueller, and the brisket was to die for. The walls and black and grey from all the years of smoking their food. The Texas flag was dirty and faded too because of it. It was really old and they had a cool door too.

This is the parking lot facing away. When we 1st got to Muellers I had a weird deja vous, like I had seen that lot before and a movie scene popped into my head,"Lonestar State of Mind." I looked around the area and i swore the movie was filmed right there in Taylor. Or at least some of it was. When I got home I looked it up and I was right!!! I was standing right where Joshua Jackson has been!!! Amazing.

We made it to Austin a few hours before the game started so we were able to explore campus a little. Austin's motto is "keep Austin weird" they sure are doing a great job of doing just that. Suffice to say I was not disappointed with their selection. They also have great team spirit and tradition. I hope somehow they could rub some of that off onto BYU.

This is the infamous clock tower. As soon as I saw it I recognized it! It is huge! it must have been terrifying to be present, and I'm sure campus wasn't as developed then (1966) leaving students with very little places to hide.

Here is a better view of it. Charles Whitman was an ex marine, killed 16 people, and wounded 32 others. He killed 3 inside and sniped 10 from the tower observation deck. Before his rampage he killed his wife, mom and a police officer who, with his partner, heroically took him out. After autopsy they discovered a brain tumor that may have played a major roll in the shooting. He failed a few courses at UT and sequentially received a court martial. His dad expected perfection and he had high expectations for himself as well. On top of that his mom had filed for divorce earlier that year, the stresses kept adding up. The stadium was awesome. It was the largest venue and crowd of which BYU has played. Their band made BYU's look like a joke, I'm glad they were not there.

We could see for miles. The total in attendance was 100,995

After each victory they lite the tower burnt orange, just one of their awesome traditions. After the game we went to Buffalo's Wild Wings and some UT fans offered to buy us a round of beers saying no hard feelings. We declined the beer but it was really nice of them. They have the nicest fans unlike those of the Mountain West. They treated us very well and didn't have anything bad to say (it was a humbling win for them and we weren't OU)

It was a really fun trip even though I was surrounded by lawyers the whole time. :) J/K they were all really funny and I liked listening them talk about being lawyers and talk about law stuff. They even occasionally talked about other things, like football and law school.

DALLAS!!

Today we went to Dallas to spend the afternoon and visit a few places. We got to see Tyson's office, (where I'll be working) one of their sweet malls with an awesome ice rink and play place inside. For dinner we went to Sunny Brian's, a famous BBQ place. It was really good. Then we stopped by the Dallas temple.

On the way to Little Elm we stopped in Lubbock to visit my brother and his family. It took us just over 16 hours to get there. We did it all in one day which was really stupid. I can't believe I made it there alive. All sitting and no standing makes Cicily wanna jump out of a moving vehicle.We stayed with them for 2 nights and it was a lot of fun. It was nice to see everyone. I haven't seen them since March!! The kids are so big and Oli just started preschool. Yikes!
We stopped by the Lubbock temple which was really cool. Actually, it was rather hot. Then we went to a prairie dog park and fed them and scared them. We also went to Kohls where I found $9 pants to interview in.
Alycia got me a Texas survival kit and I had to use it on the 1st day. I played cowboy with Oliver for a bit. I didn't look crazy at all... It took us another 5.5 hours to get to Tyson's but we made it alive!!

Little me: Quite the little Striker. This pic is awesome- the team wasn't so good but that's ok. I learned at an early age that I should play for fun not on a team. LOL
My hair was so frizzy back then and my teeth was super yellow. But I was a lot cuter than I remembered. Not too shabby for being a tomboy and not having a mom. I regret throwing away my old jersey, I would still fit in it! Look at those hiked up shorts!

I'm smiling in the picture here but I can assure you I was in a bad mood and determined not to have a good time. Luckily my plan failed because a good time I did have.

The snowman is almost as tall as the building!! There was enough snow there to last me a life time. It's not even winter and I am so done with snow. Driving to and from during horrific blizzards, ice, wind and drifting snow was traumatising. Driving to work- or anywhere- freaks me out and I tense up if there is moisture on the road. I hope I'm not damaged goods because of it. My whole body is still stressed and tense from it. I saw so many accidents that I want to unsee. We almost got in a couple. We are very lucky and blessed that nothing happened to us. And that is what I am grateful for.

Adam sent me this and I think it's wicked awesome. This totally reminds me of the Brandon Doman poster I have had hanging in my room for like the last ten years(it's not in a creepy way, it was on the inside of the program at a game so i hung it up). Gladiator was my favorite movie when this poster came out so it made it even more perfect.

To celebrate the end of the year and completion of our group project, me, Adam, and Kassandra met at CHristians place to party! We played Rock Band and it rocked. We played the new Beatles Rock Band and I love it! I have wanted to play it since it came but I have not got a chance to until last night. Although my vocals ruined some Beatles classics I think we all still had fun. Then we went to 7 11 and got Hot Chocolate, and then played more Rock Band. BEST GROUP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every winter or spring I get the need that I need to go Lake Powell, and August is too far away. Well, it's not even December and I want to go so so bad!!! I wish I was there right now, instead looking at my pics and videos will have to do!

This is a fun game we played for hours, trying to land on the tube. My freinds brother Parker didn't clear to tube and it's so stinkin funny! I didn't get it on film but he screams "My nips!" when he come back up. Classic Parker!

Sex Content

For the three shows I chose were: NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, and PSYCH
How much sex is in the programs? Keep a running tally for each program and write it below.
Not very much, which is rare. There usually tends to be more, this just must not be a sexy week. Psych: anytime it showed anything to do with roller derby. Their costumes are pretty skanky. There is also subtle tension between two of the characters.
NCIS: essentially none, which is weird for this show. there tends to be more.
NCIS LA: there was flirtation between a couple of the cops, and even an invitation to go back to her hotel but she got turned down, a couple times. It was pretty funny to see her get shut down cause I didn't like her.
What sexual messages are portrayed in each of the three programs?
This week I felt like it was a “sexless” week. Two of the shows are more action based and can have some sexual content, but it wasn’t a theme. Psych has more female exploitation, but again the focus was more on the case than sex. The characters flirted a little but it was presented in a cute appropriate way rather than arousing like some other shows have. Juliet had to go under cover as one of the skanks and was ok with it because it was the job. She usually dresses very modestly so to have her forget about that and not think twice makes me like her less. If it’s for the greater good, or for work it’s ok to dress like that.
NCIS there is always a little bit of sexual tension between a couple of the characters but I didn’t pick up any of that while I watching. It just wasn’t important this week. The story line was more important than sex.
NCIS LA I think the reason she was added to the episode was to bring forth some character development. Something we didn’t know about him before was that he lost a girl important to him, and she was a cop and he won’t date cops now. I think it was just a roundabout way of letting us know he is deep. It really has nothing to do with sex but I think they just threw it in there. They could have made it way worse but I like the road they took here.

I love cover bands. They often bring a fresh and sometimes better version of a song than the original artist. Me 1st and the Gimme Gimmes they do a lot of drag switches so it is easier for them to get away with the cover because their voices are completely different.

The down side to cover songs is the ability to ruin once good songs. Jessica Simpson has butchered Micheal Jackson. Fleetwood Mac's Landslide is a perfect example of both good and evil interpretations. The Smashing Pumpkins really took this song places, much like what Quiet Drive did for Time After Time. The nefarious Dixie Chicks had the audacity to ruin this song. Natalie Maine's voice makes me cringe every time hear it no matter what song, but hearing her sing Landslide is especially heinous.

Monster Squad

Yesterday I watched Monster Squad with my roommates. It's an old school movie about monsters and the kids who fight them. I watched it for the 1st time in years last Christmas and I found out that the Dracula from that movie was in reoccurring nightmares I had when I was little. He would come to the windows and open them with magical powers, trying to kidnap me and my siblings. That movie had me so terrified of him! Other vampires didn't scare me so much, but this actor did a good job scaring me out of my pants!

Nothing Better by Postal Service is the song of the day. My friend had me listen to this song this summer and I loved it!! I forgot what the song was called for a long time and slowly I forgot about the song entirely until last night. Amelia and I went to the mall for a project she was doing for school and this song came on. I love rediscovering songs that I had forgotten. I find this song great in that it is so melancholy yet motivating. I have been in both of their shoes so I can understand both sides. The man doesn't want to say goodbye and he promises to shape up while the woman is simply sticking it to him. He had his chances to man up so she isn't having it anymore. It may seem malicious of me to get such a kick out of this song, but I enjoy it so.

From time to time I have extra time on my hands so I was looking at a couple of Yahoo news feeds. Yesterday I was reading about the Orionid Meteor shower happening that night. My friends and I decided we wanted to watch up in the canyon. We woke up at three and stayed until four thirty! It was cold and quiet out there but we saw lots of shooting stars. Thank you Yahoo! Clearly the media ws on my side last night!

Viva Las Provo

Last Thursday I was walking down the Vegas Strip when I realized how protected we are, living in Provo. Just looking around for a brief few seconds and I already felt the need for a shower and a shot of penicillin. There is porn freakin everywhere! I could not even look down because it was al over the streets! I felt bad for my 16 year old brother. He must have been far more uncomfortable than I was. When we left he said he could feel the city was evil. I'm glad we only stayed the one night.

The Holiday

I just finished watching The Holiday. I always forget just how much I love this film. It may not be the best film ever made but still I love it. The character Iris , played by the wonderful Kate Winslet, is an unrequited mess that I adore. We all have our low points and as we meet her she is at hers. Throughout the movie she regains her lost confidence that she had lost for three years. She had to rebuild it from scratch and it was painful, teary, and emotional. But the end result behind all that darkness and suffering arose a whole new beautiful, stronger than before, gal with loads of gumption. The whole movie is about being around people new or old who make you feel worth while again. (The leading men Jack Black and Jude Law were also fun to look at.) There is nothing like remembering and being happy with who you are after such sadness. Such a great film!!

Worlds Most Senior Tattooed Woman

My roommate was browsing the web and came across this gem. We were just awed by it!! She didn't get her 1st tattoo until she was 40 and now she is well into her 60's! Her name is Isobel Varley. She is the Guiness Worls Record Book Holder for the Worlds Most Senior Tattooed Woman. I would say she went just a tad overboard.

Books

When I was a young kid I like the Box Car Children and Where the Wild Things Are. Any book with pictures in it ruled. There was one book where this little girl had to escape from a witch and the cat gives her items to do so. One item was a comb and when she threw it a thicket of trees grew and the witch could not get through. The book always scared me but I loved reading it because she made it back safely.
I don’t have one favorite particular book now. For a while the Lord of the Rings trilogy was my favorite in junior high and high school. Sophomore year we read Of Mice and Men, I enjoyed reading it. This book was very haunting to me, I walked away feeling a part of me died a little and I could really feel the main characters heart ache. I was very emotionally attached. I hoped that I could be like the main guy and not like Curly. Later my senior year we had to read Crime and Punishment. I really enjoyed that difficult read. Again I became attached to the sad and desperate main character.
Now? I don’t have one favorite book per se. I know a lot of people would say Twilight or Harry Potter but those are guilty pleasure books not to be confused with books that should be classified as favorites. Over the summer I read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies I liked reading it. It was simple and it took a classic story and added creativity. I found it to be just as good and quite amusing.

Very often a song or a phrase or a quote will get stuck in my head. -Right now most is from Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog-. It can be very annoying at times and others it's welcome. Right now there is a different quote and I can't figure out which show it is from and it P's me off!! Eureka!!!!!!! I figured out one of the mysterious phrases "Oh hey Lisa." This small line has been irritating me for a long time. It's on Dirty Dancing! That feels better.

My roommate and I have a musical tradition. When we need a boost of confidence, or strength, or that umph to get us through the day, music becomes our way of sticking it to our struggles. Occasions such as the 1st day of school, midterms, before a project or just to start a day we know is going to be hellish, are usually what we do it for. Rocking out to Grace Kelly by Mika was our song for today. We both have midterms, and lots of cleaning to do but now that we heard our song we are bounding and read to go. Bring it on schoolwork!!!!!!!!!

These hunks make these shows possble, and since they are eay on te eyes they help keep my attention. There are many other shows I watch but I would like to give a shoutout to these guys.

I watch these shows every week and they are very much apart of my primetime evenings. I watch a lot of TV and they take up much of that time. Each episode I was on the tip of my toes biting my nails. Needless to say it was easy to be sucked in!!

Not to say there aren't other fantastically put together guys out there, but these are my top picks!

Nobody puts Swayze in a Corner

Today I was logging on to my email and I came across some startling news. Heartthrob Patrick Swayze died at age 57 due to complications related to pancreatic cancer that he has been battling for th last 20 months. Dirty Dancing is my all time favorite movie! I grew up watching and loving it. Ghost is another classic that he stared in with Woopi Goldberg and Demi Moore. Many people are unaware of his daring role as a cross dresser in To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. is fellow castmates included Wesley Snipes, Jon Leguizamo and Stockard Channing. Three great films that I cherish.

The single biggest game in BYU history, thanks to TV and radio I was made apart of it

The HUKA is a game day tradition for many of our players

Here on this jumbo screen is BYU's kick-off to OU to start this historic game.

Max Hall was 26/38, threw for 329 yards, and had 2 touchdown passes on the night.

#41 Coleby Clawson's powerful hit ended Sam Bradford's night, while the score was 10-7. Very close at this time. Many attribute this injury to OU's loss rather than acknowledging BYU's win brought on by their strong defensive efforts. OU averaged 51 points per game last year, and many newscasters imply thier lack of stats was due to the loss of Bradford. He played half of the game, thus he is responsible for their unimpressive stats for half of the game.

Jacobson's still open!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone celebrating this amazing TD pass. While Pitta was being quadruply covered McKay slipped passed his guy to the back of the end zone for the catch!

Bronco, usually with a calm exterior, could not contain his absolute joy. His exacting offensive strategy on 3rd and 4th down helped to insure this monumental victory.

This game was televised on ESPN and was seen by thousands of people across the US and in some parts of the world. Being a very important win for the university, it proves teams like BYU, Boise State, Utah, and TCU are here to stay.

Watching in eager anticipation for four straight quarters was not easy on my nerves. I had to go outside and run around my brother's house. My heart was pounding in those final minutes, which felt like hours. Each commercial break and time out were torture. Finally, it's 4th down and BYU made it's final stop! We were screaming and running down the street! We could here fans all around cheering and screaming. For the next 4 hours people were screaming and cheering and honking their horns! It was pandemonium in Provo!
